TURQUOISE HUNTING in Nevada + VIDEO

Most relevant, we are fortunate enough to live in Turquoise Land.  Consequently, turquoise forms in the Southwest United States, due to both our copper and dry, arid land. Most noteworthy, there are operating turquoise mines in the states of Colorado, Arizona, and Nevada.

Moreover, in the Summer 2013, we travel up through Kingman, Arizona to Goldfield, Nevada and continue to Tonapah, Nevada. In addition, Tonapah is an old mining town in central Nevada, originally full of Gold miners of the area.

Most importantly, our intentions are to hunt for turquoise in the Royston mining district. In addition, this is at the the invitation of famous turquoise mine claim owner Dean Otteson.  Consequently, Dean takes us to three different mining claims, which he owns. In addition, we pick through tailing piles for beautiful blue and green Royston turquoise. Finally, these are pictures from our Summer 2013 trip. In addtion, at the bottom of this page is a video that we hope you enjoy!
